11 December 2013 - Extraordinary Governing Body meeting

On the afternoon of 11 December 2013 an extraordinary Governing Body meeting in public was held jointly between the Governing Bodies of Eastbourne, Hailsham and Seaford CCG and Hastings and Rother CCG.

There were two agenda items for formal agreement at this meeting. These were:

· Agreement on the preferred option for implementation following the close of the dementia assessment beds consultation.

· Agreement on the proposed future delivery options for Maternity and Paediatrics, and a decision to submit these to the Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee (HOSC) to consider whether these constitute substantial service variation and will therefore go forward to formal public consultation.

The meeting took place from 2.30pm  at the Horseshoe Inn, Posey Green, Windmill Hill, Herstmonceux, East Sussex, BN27 4RU. The agenda and papers for this meeting can be found below:

Joint EHS and H&R CCG Governing Body Agenda - 111213

3-13 The future provision of NHS beds for the admission and assessment of people with dementia

4-13 Maternity and Paediatrics - proposed future delivery options

The collaborative commissioning arrangements required all three CCGs in East Sussex to consider these proposals. Therefore, High Weald Lewes Havens CCG’s Governing Body also met formally in public on 11 December 2013.
